Arike Ogunbowale plays professional basketball in the Dallas Wings, a team within the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale played college basketball with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being drafted to the Wings as the fifth overall selection for the 2019 WNBA. Ogunbowale was crowned gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships as well as the 2014 FIBA U17 world Championships and 2013 U18 FIBA 3x3 Championships. The 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale was also named on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first season as a collegiate player. She was even congratulated by the legendary Kobe Bryant after she hit various big shots in the NCCA Tournament.
